define "vacation"...

i'm back from my big trip! 25 family members, 2 countries, 1 cruise ship, 8 days, and some action packed time in NYC, later! what fun. i wouldn't say it was a "vacation" as much as it was a "trip." vacations are relaxing...trips are not. they are great, but you don't come home rested. so, let's call this one a "trip"! pictures will come later. but, for now, some highlights...

• flying into la guardia at sunset with a perfect view of the city...magical!
• dinner at lili's with my two favorite lilly's!
• cab rides in nyc...
• seeing everyone at cruise check in! so excited to see each other!
• departing out the hudson river past the statue of liberty - even in the rain it was amazing!
• did i mention it rained? well, it did...a LOT!
• having dinner all together every night!
• going to tea twice!
• seeing WHALES!
• a bad game of bingo highlighted by melissa's bingo mistake...hilarious!
• taking LOTS of pictures!
• the bay of fundy in the rental mini...packed up tight with great people seeing amazing scenery!
• tami the tour guide.
• the tide is high...and then it's low...in 3 hours. so cool!
• canadians are the nicest people
• men in kilts...need i say more?
• arriving to bagpipes...i love that music
• peggy's cove!
• a tour guide with issues!
• having the worst case of "the giggles" i've had since 7th grade!
• finding char in the hallway on babysitting duty
• mom finding addie's sign and sail card in her purse!
• the trivial pursuit game
• "kissy, i'm awake"
• "no tank you-no tank you-no tank you!"
• "kissy, when i'm calling for you you need to stop and listen!"
• finally seeing the sun
• dancing to the bee gees
• celebrating t's birthday
• and sandy's, and steve's, and mine!
• we did a lot of celebrating! : )
• circle line tour of manhattan in NYC!
• dinner in little italy
• riding the subway
• more cabs...
• central park
• the guggenheim with char!
• dinner at the palm
• seeing WICKED!
• and buying the tickets for WAY too much money through "the back door"!
• times square at night...wow!
• bartering for my new "coach" purse!
• i think i like it even more because it was illegal and a challenge! : )
• the best part...the people i was with!
